WHAT IS TEDWeb?

TEDWeb is the Tasmanian Eating Disorder Website. It provides online information about eating disorder services and resources for people around Tasmania.

TEDWeb is linked to the Eating Disorder Foundation of Victoria (EDFV) website (www.eatingdisorders.org.au) which provides up-to-date information about eating disorders, including:

  •    Causes and warning signs;

  •    What to do if you think you have an eating disorder;

  •    How to support someone with an eating disorder; and,

  •    Treatment options and information for health professionals.

TEDWeb has been developed by the Tasmanian Parents and Friends Support Group and the Community Nutrition Unit (Department of Health and Human Services).

Danny Kontos of the Eating Disorder Foundation of Victoria Inc (EDFV), and JOB futures Tasmania Community Web Link generously provided the technical work required to set up the website, and link it with the EDFV site.
